Connections to Grow
GNHCC’s economic development initiative represents the collective voice of Greater New Haven Region’s 500,000 businesses, leveraging private and public-sector. We serve as a catalyst for progress, focusing our resources to support priorities that include business growth and retention, physical development, economic inclusion, advocacy, education and workforce development.
In partnership with the Regional Water Authority, we endeavor to create a global hub of talent, innovation, and opportunity in the region. Making it easier to do business in the region is vital to realizing this ambitious — but doable — vision. Our strongest accomplishments are our partnerships and our continued growth in manufacturing, health care and biosciences, education, technology, and tourism leadership, ensuring our business community’s long-term support and success.
Who We Serve
GNHCC’s Economic Development Initiative represents the interests of our region’s enterprises —from global Fortune 500 corporations to middle-market companies to local entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Greater New Haven.
Who We Are
Built, in collaboration with the Region's Economic Development professionals, State resources and local agencies, the Economic Development Initiative by the Greater New Haven Chamber is an integrated regional business retention and growth effort. We endeavor to better understand how to retain companies and provide resources to assist in their growth. We act as one voice, representing the views of our members and non-members, to advocate on behalf of the business community.
What We Do
We listen to business. Our Economic Development initiative supports business visits, conducted throughout the year, to assist business growth and retention, provide resources to promote growth, and create partnerships for economic sustainability. We connect organizations with experts in their industry, valuable resources, and the contacts they need to grow.
As one of Connecticut’s premier economic development and business advocacy organization, we actively reshape our methods to impact and influence our region for the benefit of all.
